Soccer Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Champaign Central's Third in Last Four Outings

The matchup between Champaign Central and Peoria on Wednesday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Maroons never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Considering Champaign Central have won six games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Peoria from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Rylie Schulze led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Champaign Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Peoria, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.
