Fairview snaps five-game streak of losses on the road

Recap: Fairview Warriors vs. Brooklyn Hurricanes

The Fairview Warriors can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Brooklyn with a 61-55 victory. The win was just what Fairview needed coming off of a 58-24 loss in their prior matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Brooklyn lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ashlyn Dyson. Despite the final result, she scored 35 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The contest was Dyson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amerie Williams, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Brooklyn were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Fairview's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Brooklyn, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairview is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Lutheran West at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Brooklyn, they will take on Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
