The matchup between Columbus North and Floyd Central on Saturday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Bull Dogs never let the Highlanders get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Give Columbus North's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Floyd Central from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Rachel Fulp led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Columbus North's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. As for Floyd Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Columbus North wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against New Albany on the 2nd. As for Floyd Central, they will square off against Brown at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
