Basketball Recap: Carver A&T's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Carver A&T posted their biggest win since January 17th on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 49-28 margin over the Franklin Indians. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Carver A&T got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elisah Guity out in front who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards. Carver A&T is undefeated when Guity posts eight or more rebounds, but 7-9 otherwise. Laila Brandon was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Carver A&T was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

The win (which was Carver A&T's third in a row) raised their record to 10-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points over those games. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Carver A&T didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-32 victory against Towson on the 19th. As for Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 35-23 win against Lansdowne on the 18th.
