Volleyball Recap: Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Takes a Loss

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Manteo Redskins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redskins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-12.

Joelle Hegge paced Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech's offense, picking up three kills. Hegge got some help from Ann-Margaret Peel and her five assists. Riley Batts controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Easton Alexander, who had 11 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Manteo, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Northside - Pinetown on the 28th. As for Manteo, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Cape Hatteras on the 2nd.
