Softball Recap: North Shore Comes Up Short

North Shore lost against King back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexa San Miguel was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, North Shore saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jada Duncan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Duncan has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

North Shore's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for King, their victory bumped their record up to 18-11-1.

Looking ahead, North Shore will face off against Summer Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for King, they are taking a road trip to challenge Channelview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
