Soccer Recap: Paramount Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Paramount was not quite Bellflower's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bellflower Buccaneers by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Pirates came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Buccaneers are ranked 601st).

Paramount's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7-2. As for Bellflower, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7-4.

Paramount does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellflower, they will challenge Warren at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
