Basketball Recap: Jacob Lowe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lewis-Palmer over Discovery Canyon

Lewis-Palmer was the 50-46 winner over Discovery Canyon when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Lewis-Palmer Rangers lost to the Discovery Canyon Thunder at home by a 54-37 margin on Wednesday. The match marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Lowe, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. Lowe is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Devin Vandermeer was another key player, putting up five points.

Noah Eckels continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Discovery Canyon, going 9-for-15 to rack up 20 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Aiden Hayler, who posted nine points along with five assists and three steals.

Lewis-Palmer is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11. As for Discovery Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Lewis-Palmer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-67 defeat against Liberty on the 22nd. Discovery Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
