Wiregrass is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Evangel Christian.

For Evangel Christian's part, ZAC GROSSMANN made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts GROSSMANN has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on TREY HOPE, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Evangel Christian's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Wiregrass, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
