Baseball Game Preview: North Buncombe Black Hawks vs. Erwin Warriors

For the second straight game, North Buncombe will face off against Erwin. The Black Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Buncombe has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, North Buncombe came up short against Erwin and fell 12-7. The loss continues a trend for the Black Hawks in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Kameron Keenan made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of North Buncombe's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-9 when he doesn't). TJ Laub also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Erwin's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-9. As for North Buncombe, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
