Independence had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rosa Fort Lions with a sharp 26-4 victory. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Independence pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Rosa Fort, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11-1.
