Softball Recap: Fleming County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Menifee County last Wednesday, Fleming County came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 9-4 to the Wayne Pioneers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 12-11 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Fleming County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mallory Price, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Fleming County has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Wayne, their record is now 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fleming County will venture away from home to challenge Grant County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wayne, they will head out to take on East Carter at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
