Basketball Game Preview: Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks vs. South O'Brien Wolverines

The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks will challenge the South O'Brien Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn came up short against Hinton and fell 62-49. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Blackhawks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, South O'Brien was able to grind out a solid victory over West Sioux on Friday, taking the game 62-51. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Falcons are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South O'Brien is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
