Softball Recap: Corsicana Takes a Loss

Corsicana suffered their biggest defeat since April 27, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Crandall Pirates, falling 12-2. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Corsicana has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Crandall and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Corsicana has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Crandall, they will be playing at home against Ennis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ennis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
