Football Recap: Concordia's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Concordia was riding high fresh off their 67-0 takedown of Slater last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fighting Orioles took a 36-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Mustangs on Friday. The Fighting Orioles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Concordia still got an impressive performance from Nephi Hon, who rushed for 140 yards and three scores.

Having lost for the first time this season, Concordia fell to 2-1. As for Northwest, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Concordia is set to face off against their familiar foe Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northwest will challenge rival Sweet Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
