Basketball Recap: Flint Hill Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Madeira last Thursday, Flint Hill came back down to earth. The Flint Hill Huskies lost 73-53 to the Potomac School Panthers on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Potomac School's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Catherine Letendre, who went 8 for 17 en route to 22 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Letendre is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabrina Anderson, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 26 points and five assists.

Flint Hill's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-6. As for Potomac School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Flint Hill is taking a road trip to take on Holton-Arms at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Potomac School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sidwell Friends at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Potomac School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
