Baseball Recap: Jones' Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Jones put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Hennessey Eagles as the Jones Longhorns made off with a 12-2 win. The Longhorns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.

Jones pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hennessey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Jones will have a chance to go back-to-back against Hennessey: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
