Softball Recap: Sherman Gets the Win

Sherman won the last time they faced St. Joseph Central and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tide walked away with a 12-9 win over the Irish. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tide.

Alexis Lovejoy was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lexie Lowe, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Lovejoy wasn't the only one making solid contact: Sherman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The Tide are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Sherman now has a winning record of 4-3. As for St. Joseph Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sherman beat the Irish by a score of 16-2 later that day.
