Football Recap: Santa Maria Saints vs. Lompoc Braves
Thursday just wasn't the day for Santa Maria's offense. They had to suffer through a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Lompoc Braves. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Santa Maria's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Lompoc, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.
Santa Maria does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lompoc, they will take on Cabrillo at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lompoc knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Cabrillo likes a good challenge.
