Baseball Recap: Dryden Comes Up Short

Dryden fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Peck on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jayden Stankevich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Owen Gall, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double.

Dryden's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Peck, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Dryden will welcome Caseville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Peck, they will head out to square off against Cadillac at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
