Baseball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall fell victim to Kaufman and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 9-0 to the Kaufman Lions. The match marked the first time this year in which the Mavericks were not able to get on the board.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Kaufman, their win bumped their record up to 5-2-1.

Coming up, Marshall will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Whitehouse at 7:00 p.m. As for Kaufman, they will head out on the road to take on Forney at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Kaufman: 2.5, Forney: 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
