Staunton is 9-1 against Riverheads since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Storm will take on the Gladiators at 7:00 p.m.

Staunton is headed into Tuesday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They lost 4-1 to Waynesboro on Thursday.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Riverheads sidestepped Stonewall Jackson for a 3-2 victory. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Riverheads' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Stonewall Jackson are ranked 301st).

Riverheads' win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Staunton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Everything went Staunton's way against Riverheads in their previous matchup back in April, as Staunton made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Storm since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
