Baseball Recap: San Marcos Academy Takes a Loss

San Marcos Academy lost against Valor South Austin last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The San Marcos Academy Bears fell just short of the Valor South Austin Falcons by a score of 7-6.

Daniel Yates was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Yates is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Caleb Armstrong was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

San Marcos Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Valor South Austin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

San Marcos Academy has already played their next game (against Veritas Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Valor South Austin, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Lutheran on the 1st.
