Softball Game Preview: Canandaigua Academy Braves vs. Spencerport Rangers

The Canandaigua Academy Braves will take on the Spencerport Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Canandaigua Academy has given up an average of 15.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Canandaigua Academy's last matchup with Churchville-Chili could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Braves came up short against the Saints, falling 12-3.

Meanwhile, Spencerport entered their tilt with Gates Chili on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Spartans a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Canandaigua Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Spencerport, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
