Volleyball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Barneveld Eagles, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ponies of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-21, 25-16.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Barneveld, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Monticello will challenge Pecatonica at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Barneveld, they will take on Madison La Follette at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
