Baseball Game Preview: Half Moon Bay Cougars vs. Menlo School Knights

For the second straight game, Half Moon Bay will face off against Menlo School. The Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Half Moon Bay fell victim to Menlo School and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Kai Kung spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Half Moon Bay is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-12 otherwise.
