Football Recap: Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Starts Season with Win on the Road

Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Scotts Hill Lions to the tune of 35-6. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 23, 2024 (when they won 49-13).

Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Korbin Brown led the charge by rushing for 104 yards and a pair of TDs. Brown's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Braxton Howard, who threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central will venture away from home to take on Gleason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scotts Hill, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Perry County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
