Volleyball Recap: Christ the King Comes Up Short

Christ the King lost against Holy Trinity back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gladiators fell 2-0 to the Tigers.

Christ the King was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23.

Christ the King has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Holy Trinity, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Christ the King will square off against rival Walther Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Holy Trinity is set to take on their familiar foe Northtown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
