Softball Recap: Windsor Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Windsor Central entered their tilt with Chenango Forks on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Blue Devils. That's more bragging rights for the Black Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Emily Flagg, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Baret, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Windsor Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Windsor Central's record now sits at 6-8. As for Chenango Forks, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor Central will head out to challenge Chenango Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Black Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Chenango Forks, they will head out on the road to take on Seton Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.67 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
