Baseball Recap: Timpanogos Wins Going Away Against Provo

Timpanogos never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Provo Bulldogs. Considering the Timberwolves have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson Sotelo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Jace Hunter also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Timpanogos was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Provo only posted a batting average of .062.

Timpanogos is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Provo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Timpanogos will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
