Isabella won the last time they faced Dallas County and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Mustangs blew past the Hornets 20-6. The victory was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Isabella got a massive performance out of Aubreigh Davenport, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Jeslyn Wilson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Isabella always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.
Isabella's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Dallas County, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Isabella will take on Jemison at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dallas County, they will square off against Wilcox Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
