Baseball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Takes a Loss

Rushford-Peterson extended their losing streak to five on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 6-10 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Houston Hurricanes. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Houston, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 4th.

For Houston's part, their win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Zach Olson, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Olson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Looking ahead, Rushford-Peterson will head out to take on Cotter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Houston, they will take on Hayfield at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
