Basketball Recap: Bisbee Takes a Loss

Bisbee suffered their biggest loss since November 27, 2024 on Thursday. They took a blow against the Benson Bobcats, falling 49-15. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-50 back in December of 2024.

Kaylei Taylor was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards for Benson. Taylor has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Paisley Harmon, who posted four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Bisbee moved to 10-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Benson, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-9.

Bisbee will square off against St. Augustine Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Benson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-30 victory against Chandler Prep on the 24th.
