Albany couldn't beat Mohonasen on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Falcons fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 10-9. Even though they lost, the Falcons' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

AJ Dixon and Devin Moulden stepped up to the plate in a big way. Dixon went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Moulden went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Colin Paulsen was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Albany and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Mohonasen, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Albany and Mohonasen should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 120th) will meet Amsterdam (ranked 297th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mohonasen will square off against Lansingburgh at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (11 vs. 259). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 2.2, the Knights 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
