Softball Recap: Manatee Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Manatee's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Riverview Sarasota Rams on Tuesday. The Hurricanes have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Manatee's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Riverview Sarasota, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manatee will face off against Braden River at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.15 runs per game on average), something the Hurricanes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Riverview Sarasota, they will challenge Lakewood Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
