Basketball Recap: Tech Takes a Loss

Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 42-29 to the Orange Tornadoes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tornadoes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-43 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orange to victory, but perhaps none more so than Naveah Holmes, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 19 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Holmes has scored at least a third of the Tornadoes' points. Another player making a difference was Phoenix Fraser, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Orange, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-11.

Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orange, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Hunterdon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
