Softball Recap: Reardan Comes Up Short

Reardan fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Chewelah on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 16-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Screaming Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Reardan dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Chewelah, their victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.

While Reardan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
