Ellington had already won 12 in a row and they went ahead and made it 13 on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mansfield Lions.

Megan Copeland paced Ellington's offense, picking up eight kills. Copeland got some help from Tayleigh Cowin and her 18 assists. Copeland was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Ellington's win bumped their record up to 21-3-1. As for Mansfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ellington and Mansfield will both be playing Mountain Grove the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Panthers at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, while the Whippets will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
