The Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs will face off against the Seminole Ridge Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dr. Joaquin Garcia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Dr. Joaquin Garcia took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Lake Worth get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Annabelle Brisco made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Lily Burge looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Ava Johnston was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Neveah Opsincs, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Dr. Joaquin Garcia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Seminole Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over Westminster Academy on Thursday, taking the game 3-0.
The result came thanks to Cailee Sessions's shutout, as she gave up just four hits.
At the plate, Seminole Ridge let Haven Berryhill and Hailey Goode run wild. Berryhill scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Goode scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Goode has posted since back in March of 2024.
Seminole Ridge's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dr. Joaquin Garcia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .358. However, it's not like Seminole Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
