Volleyball Recap: David City Comes Up Short

David City suffered their biggest defeat since September 25th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Milford Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Scouts in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Milford scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 25-19.

Kamryn Behrns paced David City's offense, picking up 11 kills. Behrns got some help from Kambri Andel and her 15 assists. Andel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Milford was led to victory by Adalyn Cisneros and Libbie Reil. Cisneros had 12 digs and two aces, while Reil had eight digs and four assists. That's the most assists Reil has posted over her last six matchups.

David City's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Milford, they pushed their record up to 23-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home.

David City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Thayer Central on the 16th. As for Milford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Fairbury on the 16th.
