Basketball Recap: Natchez Comes Up Short

Natchez has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Pike Jaguars. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 52-35.

Natchez's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for North Pike, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Natchez will welcome South Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Jones will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Natchez surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Pike, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Provine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
