Softball Recap: Delphi Community Oracles vs. Hebron Hawks

Delphi Community and Hebron squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Delphi Community had to settle for second. They lost 11-3 to the Hebron Hawks. Delphi Community's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lexi Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and eight unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 26 consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Jenna Roth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with a home run. Another player making a difference was Lacey S Pickering, who scored a run and stole three bases.

On Hebron's side, Addison Toczek was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Toczek was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI.
