Basketball Recap: Rocket City Takes a Loss

Rocket City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Bluegrass Blazers 86-46. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 345th in Alabama, while the Blazers are ranked 107th in Kentucky).

Despite the loss, Rocket City still got an impressive performance from Matthew Goodwin, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Tyler Schlapman, who posted seven points.

Rocket City's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Bluegrass, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Rocket City has already played their next match, a 59-49 defeat against Upper Cumberland on the 14th. Bluegrass does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
