Softball Recap: Granite Hills Cougars vs. Flintridge Prep Wolves

Granite Hills had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Flintridge Prep Wolves on Thursday as the Granite Hills Cougars made off with an 11-1 win. Granite Hills might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 15 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Mia Vazquez was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Vazquez has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in ten consecutive pitching appearances. Vazquez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Jazmine Gonzalez was incredible, going 3-for-3 with four RBI, a triple, and a run. Mylie Shepard was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
