Basketball Recap: Stanley Takes a Loss

Stanley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 45-37 to the Thompson Tommies. The Blue Jays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tommies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

It was another big night for Karter Peterson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards for Thompson. The dominant performance gave Peterson a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Odenbach, who posted six points and 13 rebounds.

Stanley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Thompson, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Stanley will challenge Watford City at 7:15 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Thompson, they will face off against Kindred at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Thompson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.
