Baseball Recap: Deep Run Victorious

It's playoff time, and Deep Run had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Western Branch Bruins 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Parker Noonan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Vince Porcaro was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Deep Run's record is now 15-8. As for Western Branch, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6.

As of now, neither Deep Run nor the Bruins have any future games scheduled.
