Baseball Recap: Discovery Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Triumph Charter, Discovery was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 14-11 win over the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Vanguards back in March, they had to take a 22-14 defeat.

Discovery saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Hernandez, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with two runs. Those two runs gave Hernandez a new career-high.

Discovery's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7-1. As for Valley Oaks CES, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Discovery has already played their next game, a 26-2 loss against Valor Academy on the 29th. As for Valley Oaks CES, they will take on Sun Valley Magnet at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
