Volleyball Game Preview: Southwest Guilford Cowboys vs. Northern Guilford Nighthawks

The Southwest Guilford Cowboys will venture away from home to face off against the Northern Guilford Nighthawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Southwest Guilford took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Jordan-Matthews, sneaking past 3-2.

Southwest Guilford wouldn't go down easily and took Jordan-Matthews into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-17, 25-17, 20-25, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Northern Guilford entered their tilt with Page on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pirates.

Northern Guilford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 26-24.

Northern Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Southwest Guilford, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
