            Football Recap: South Tahoe Vikings vs. Spring Creek Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            The matchup between South Tahoe and Spring Creek  on Friday hardly resembled the  15-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Vikings took a  blow against the Spartans, falling  55-22. The Vikings have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
 Kayden Morales threw for 176 yards and one  TD on only 14 passes.   Marcus Haven was his top target, picking up 139 receiving yards and one  touchdown.  On the ground,  Conner Hennessee rushed for 42 yards and a pair of  scores.
  McCoy McArtor continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Spring Creek, throwing for 205 yards and four  TDs on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 111 yards on only eight carries. Those  four  passing touchdowns gave  McArtor a new career-high.  Aiden Walthers was in the mix  as well, providing Spring Creek with two scores.
South Tahoe now  has a losing record of 4-5. As for Spring Creek, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  games. South Tahoe will head out to  face off against Truckee  at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. The Vikings' defense better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 28.8  points per game this season. As for Spring Creek, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Elko  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Indians' defense has only allowed 10.8  points per game  this season, so the Spartans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
