Basketball Recap: Catholic Memorial Find Success

Catholic Memorial lost to Attleboro back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Sunday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Catholic Memorial Knights made off with a 76-75 victory over the Attleboro Bombardiers. The win was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Bombardiers are ranked second).

Catholic Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Attleboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Memorial will host Malden Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Malden Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Catholic Memorial likes a good challenge. As for Attleboro, they will square off against North Attleborough at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
